מקלעת היא קריאה להתקהלות קולית. מפגש של כשעה הנע בחופשיות בין מצב של סדנה, מופע וטקס, מקלעת היא פלטפורמה נסיונית לטרנספורמציה קולית אישית וקולקטיבית. איך משתמע הקול בחלל הפנימי של הגוף? כיצד יכול המפגש הקולי החברתי למשמע את האקוסטיקה של המבנה? נעבוד עם הקשבה אקטיבית, נשימה וקול. השתתפות בשירה אופציונלית, אין צורך בנסיון קודם.

פיי שפירו היא זמרת, מלחינה ואמנית רב תחומית בכוונת ריפוי והעצמה. עבודותיה תלויות המקום עוסקות ביחסים בין קול, קהל, גוף, חלל וקהילה. חברה בהרכבים אברא אנסמבל ומקהלת גיא בן הינום, הוציאה את אלבום הבכורה שלה אלפנשיקות. מלמדת קול ומלווה תהליכי טרנספורמציה קוליים ליחידים וקבוצות. חיה ביפו, מופיעה ומלמדת בארץ ובעולם.

 

Plexus | sing on so you could hear | a workshop/performance with Faye Shapiro

Plexus is a call for a vocal gathering. This hour long event moves freely between the frequencies of a workshop, performance and ritual and acts as an experimental platform for personal and collective transformation.

How does our voice sound in the inner spaces of the body? how could the social-vocal encounter resound in the acoustics of a specific architecture?

In this workshop we will work with activated listening, breathing and voice. Vocal participation is optional, no prior experience needed.

Faye Shapiro is a singer, composer and artist, based in jaffa, performs and travels in israel and abroad with an intention to cure and empower. Her site-specific works often activate the relationships between voices, audiences, bodies, spaces and communities.

She is a founding member of the great gehenna choir and Abra ensemble. Her debut solo album – Elefneshikot was released last august.

She teaches voice and accompanies vocal transformation processes for  individuals and groups.
